Stereotypes are almost always wrong. It appears that the stereotype about furries being sex fiends is also wrong.
As for the age bump, I think getting beyond it is probably a good thing. The most solid people I know in the fandom, the ones who make stuff like conventions, meets, and web sites work and keep working, are beyond that bump. It sure doesn't mean you have to "give up" on furry.
I suspect the age bump lies where it does more because that age group is most active online and therefore most likely to answer such a survey that appears only online. It's also true that furry fandom has only become really visible in the last 10 years or so, and mostly in on-line or youth oriented sources, so older people just aren't that aware or involved. That is going to change now as the "age bumpers" get older. Your chance to be a leader, Drel.
